Air Jordan 3
The third installment of Air Jordan
In the Air Jordan 3, Tinker Hatfield made the Air sole unit visible for the first time in the line’s history. As an emblem for the shoes Michael Jordan wore at the 1988 Dunk Contest, the legendary Nike designer also introduced the elephant print and the new Jumpman logo on the tongue. Its storied legacy continues with new releases such as ‘Fire Red,’ ‘White Cement Reimagined,’ ‘Lucky Green,’ and ‘Hide N’ Sneak.
As the first Jordan sneakers to utilize the famous Jumpman logo, visible Air signs, and elephant prints, they were introduced in 1988. The most famous of them are the ones that were worn by Mike and Mars in their campaign. It was also these sneakers that brought Jordan his first MVP award at the end of the 87-88 season. The crowd was also on its feet when MJ sank his famous dunk from three throw lines during the 1989 Slam Dunk contest.
The original Air Jordan 3 was available in four colors – “Black Cement,” “White Cement,” “Fire Red,” and “True Blue.” Despite many other colors being available today, the original remains the most sought-after.
There have been a variety of colors available since the Air Jordan 3 was introduced. Furthermore, Nike collaborates with some of the most well-known brands and personalities in the world, such as Vogue and Justin Timberlake. Air Jordan 3 variants are released every year by Nike. They introduced the Varsity Royal and Laser Orange in 2020, as well as a re-edition of the original Fire Red that combines Nike Air and Jumpman branding.
Any sneaker collector worth his or her salt must own an Air Jordan 3. There is no doubt that this shoe is a classic in the Nike Air Jordan collection. Its design, functionality, and amazing backstory make it an incredible sneaker!
